Tutoring has been a valuable experience in respects to developing my communication skills and embedding certain rules of thumb in mathematics into my memory.  Students sometimes bring their classmates who need extra help preparing for an exam and I assist them every time.  I love tutoring because individuals come in with a lack of confidence and sometimes hatred for the subject of mathematics, so after teaching the subject in a different matter I usually get an “Oh! That makes so much sense now!” followed by a giant smile on their face.  I receive much happiness from converting experiences with mathematics from negative to positive.
